Plumbing services in Mount Druitt
We handle household plumbing across Mount Druitt: drains, hot water, leaks, taps, toilets, gas appliances, roof plumbing and general repairs. Where something is likely to recur we will say so, and where there is more than one reasonable approach we will set out both. A written quote comes before the work.
Our plumbing services in Mount Druitt
Blocked drains, hot water, burst and leaking pipes, water filter connections, taps and toilets, gas fitting, and roof plumbing and gutters. For a burst pipe or a serious leak, turn the water off at the mains tap before you call. If water is anywhere near power points, the switchboard or light fittings, stay clear and treat it as an electrical hazard. Do not enter standing water in a room with live power.
1. Licensed for the work
Rapid Service Plumbing is a licensed plumbing business and our licence details are published on this site. Plumbing, drainage and gas fitting are licensed trades in New South Wales, and every plumber who attends a job in Mount Druitt is licensed for the work they carry out.2. A written quote before we start
You get a written quote before any work starts, covering labour, parts and any other costs. If we find something unexpected once we are on site, we stop and talk it through with you before going further.
3. We find the cause, not just the symptom
A drain that keeps blocking or a tap that keeps dripping usually has an underlying reason. Where it matters we will investigate properly, including a camera inspection on drainage, so you are deciding with the full picture rather than paying twice for the same problem.
4. Options explained, not one answer
Repair and replacement are often both possible, and they suit different situations. We will tell you what each involves and what it means for the life of the fixture, then leave the decision with you.
5. Safety-sensitive work treated as such
Gas, hot water and anything involving water near electrical fittings carry real risk. We will tell you plainly when something should not be attempted at home and when a licensed professional needs to handle it.

Plumbing questions from Mount Druitt residents
Questions we are regularly asked. If yours is not answered here, call the Sydney office on 02 9099 9138.
What information helps when I call?
Whatever you can tell us about the pattern. Whether one fixture is affected or several, whether it started suddenly or came on gradually, and whether anything changed just before it began. Those three details narrow the likely cause considerably before anyone arrives, which means less time spent diagnosing on site.
Will I know the cost before work starts?

Flow has dropped at my filtered tap but nowhere else. Why?
That pattern almost always points to the filter cartridge. As a cartridge loads up it restricts flow, and because it only serves that one outlet nothing else changes. Replacing the cartridge at its stated interval avoids it.
How often should a filter cartridge be changed?
Follow the manufacturer’s stated interval for the cartridge fitted, since it varies considerably between types and depends on usage. Past that interval a cartridge stops doing its job and begins restricting flow.
My water is discoloured when I first turn the tap on. Should I be concerned?
Water that clears after a moment is often related to sediment or conditions in the supply. Water that is persistently discoloured can relate to the condition of internal pipework, particularly in older supply lines. If it is persistent rather than clearing, it is worth having looked at.
