Plumbing work in Emu Plains
We cover household plumbing across Emu Plains, indoors and out. Drains, hot water, leaks, taps, toilets, gas appliances and roof plumbing are all part of it. Our approach is to establish what is actually causing a problem before quoting on a fix, so you are choosing between real options rather than accepting the first suggestion.
Our plumbing services in Emu Plains
Blocked drains, hot water systems, burst and leaking pipes, outdoor and garden taps, irrigation connections, taps and toilets, gas fitting, and roof plumbing. For a burst pipe or a serious leak, turn the water off at the mains tap before you call. If water is anywhere near power points, the switchboard or light fittings, stay clear and treat it as an electrical hazard. Do not enter standing water in a room with live power.
1. Licensed for the work
Rapid Service Plumbing is a licensed plumbing business and our licence details are published on this site. Plumbing, drainage and gas fitting are licensed trades in New South Wales, and every plumber who attends a job in Emu Plains is licensed for the work they carry out.2. A written quote before we start
You get a written quote before any work starts, covering labour, parts and any other costs. If we find something unexpected once we are on site, we stop and talk it through with you before going further.
3. We find the cause, not just the symptom
A drain that keeps blocking or a tap that keeps dripping usually has an underlying reason. Where it matters we will investigate properly, including a camera inspection on drainage, so you are deciding with the full picture rather than paying twice for the same problem.
4. Options explained, not one answer
Repair and replacement are often both possible, and they suit different situations. We will tell you what each involves and what it means for the life of the fixture, then leave the decision with you.
5. Safety-sensitive work treated as such
Gas, hot water and anything involving water near electrical fittings carry real risk. We will tell you plainly when something should not be attempted at home and when a licensed professional needs to handle it.

Plumbing questions from Emu Plains residents
Questions we are regularly asked. If yours is not answered here, call the Sydney office on 02 9099 9138.
What information helps when I call?
Whatever you can tell us about the pattern. Whether one fixture is affected or several, whether it started suddenly or came on gradually, and whether anything changed just before it began. Those three details narrow the likely cause considerably before anyone arrives, which means less time spent diagnosing on site.
Will I know the cost before work starts?
You get a written quote before any work starts, covering labour, parts and any other costs. If we find something unexpected once we are on site, we stop and talk it through with you before going further.
My water use has climbed but everything inside looks fine. What next?
Isolate the irrigation system at its own valve, then read the meter, wait thirty minutes to an hour with no water used, and read it again. If the meter stops moving with irrigation isolated, the loss is outside. If it keeps moving, it is inside or on the supply line.
Why does my garden tap drip even when it is fully closed?
Usually a worn washer, and outdoor taps wear faster because they are exposed and used harder. If the seat inside the tap has also scored, a new washer alone will not seal, and the tap needs reseating or replacing.
Can an irrigation leak be found without digging up the garden?
Often the search can be narrowed a long way first. Isolating zones one at a time and watching the meter identifies which zone is losing water, which usually reduces the search to a manageable area rather than the whole system.
