Our sewer line runs over thirty metres through the garden. Can it be relined in one go?
In most cases, yes. Modern relining is installed in continuous sections through existing access points, so even a long Killara run can usually be repaired without opening the garden. The camera inspection first tells us whether the whole line needs lining or only the sections where roots have entered, and we price both honestly so you are not lining healthy pipe.
Our gutters overflow in every heavy storm even though they are clear. Why?
If the gutters are clean and still overflowing, the system is undersized or the downpipes are too few for the roof area, which is common on Killara's larger tiled and slate rooves. The fix is usually bigger gutters, additional downpipes or added overflow measures rather than more cleaning. We assess the roof area against what the existing system can actually carry, then quote the specific upgrade.
Can you fix an outside garden tap and connect irrigation properly?
Yes. Established Killara gardens often run irrigation from ageing garden taps with makeshift fittings, which leak and can breach backflow requirements. We repair or replace the taps, install proper isolation and backflow protection where the system needs it, and make sure the connection is one you never have to think about again.
The house still has some original pipework under the floor. Is that a problem?
Not automatically, but it deserves a look. Killara's older homes usually have generous subfloor space, which lets us inspect original galvanised or early copper runs without opening walls. If corrosion is advanced we can replace the failing sections while access is easy, which is far less costly than waiting for a leak to announce itself through a ceiling or skirting board.
Two of our bathrooms take a long time to get hot water. Can that improve?
Long pipe runs are the usual cause in houses of Killara's size: the hot water simply has a long way to travel. Options include relocating the system closer to the bathrooms that matter most, adding a second smaller unit, or installing a continuous flow system at the far end. We measure the actual runs and quote the options with realistic running costs.
