Let's face it, call-out plumbing services are never cheap, but when anything plumbing breaks, it is often a matter of urgency lest daily life is paused. My filtered water line started to leak after a cartridge change the evening before, a call on their 24/7 hotline allowed me to book a consult and assessment for the next morning earliest, a quote was quickly made there and then. Upon agreeing to the quote, service was immediately scheduled for two hours later, and attended by another plumber Matt, who found the root cause to not just be a wonky, worn tubing, but a worn, faulty inlet unit within the filter unit itself... He went off to get the necessary spare parts, came back, and finally fixed it up within the hour, but not before also giving me spare connecting elbows in case things come apart again (but it shouldnt!) the next time I undertake a filter cartridge change.

We had an excellent experience with Anthony and his team at Rapid Plumbing. Anthony responded promptly to our blocked sewer pipe, and from start to finish the service was outstanding. Sam arrived on time, was courteous and highly knowledgeable, and explained the repair process clearly with complete transparency-there were no hidden fees. He kept us informed throughout the job and ensured everything was functioning perfectly before leaving. We also would like to thank Matt, Addison, and David for their professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail. The team replaced our sewer, undertaking extensive excavation work and left the yard clean and tidy upon completion. Their workmanship and care was exceptional. We truly appreciate the professionalism and expertise of the entire Rapid Plumbing team and highly recommend their services.

Sam the plumber came out to unblock our sewer lines and we honestly couldn’t have had a better experience. He was so friendly, easy to talk to, and explained everything clearly so we knew exactly what was going on. What really stood out was how honest he was! no overcharging, no trying to rip us off, just genuine, reliable service. He worked efficiently, got everything sorted, and left the place clean and tidy. Such a great guy and an absolute professional. Highly recommend Sam to anyone needing a trustworthy plumber. 5 stars all the way !!!!!!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Matt, Junior and Dave did a thorough and professional job here in Melbourne with my broken sewerage pipe and inspection shaft. For a job that is demanding, they were meticulous not to damage the pathway and cleaned up after the work was done.
Barden Ridge is young by Shire standards, but twenty-five years is a long time in plumbing. The first generation of hot water systems, valves and builder-grade tapware installed when these streets were paddocks is now due, and the suburb's position against the bush adds rainwater tanks and outdoor pipework to the mix. Rapid Service Plumbing handles all of it with fixed upfront pricing and a 24/7 emergency line.

The second round of plumbing for a first-generation suburb

Nothing in a Barden Ridge home is old enough to be called heritage, and that is exactly the point: everything is the same age, and the lightest-grade components fitted during construction fail first. Builder-grade parts reaching their limit: Project builders fit to a price. The tapware, mixer cartridges, toilet inlet valves and flexible hoses from the original build are now 20 to 25 years old, which is beyond what most of them were designed for. We replace them with better-grade parts so the second generation outlasts the first, and we attend burst pipes and hose failures around the clock when one goes without warning. Hot water, first replacement cycle: Most of the suburb's original hot water systems have either just been replaced or are about to be. Two-storey homes with multiple bathrooms deserve a system sized properly, whether that is a bigger tank, a gas system or continuous flow. We quote the options with running costs, not just purchase prices. Tanks, gardens and outdoor areas: Rainwater tanks are common here, and so are pools, outdoor kitchens and big paved entertaining areas. We connect and repair tank plumbing, pumps and switching valves, run water and gas outside, and keep the stormwater and drainage moving on blocks that shed water toward the bush. Drains and the bush boundary: Sewer lines here are newer PVC and resist roots better than older suburbs, but junctions and damaged sections still let them in. Our drain plumbers jet blockages clear, verify with a CCTV camera, and use relining where a repair is needed under landscaping you would rather keep. Gas fitting, tap replacements and 24/7 emergency response complete the service list for Barden Ridge.

Barden Ridge plumbing, quoted before it starts

Newer homes deserve tidier work. We arrive when we say we will, quote fixed before touching anything, carry the parts to finish in one visit, and guarantee the workmanship in writing. Barden Ridge sits inside our everyday Sutherland Shire run, so same-day service is the norm. Call (02) 9099 9138.

Common questions from Barden Ridge

What owners of the Ridge's 1990s and 2000s homes tend to ask when they call.

  • Does our bushfire-zone location change anything about our plumbing?

It mostly matters for outdoor and tank plumbing. Exposed pipework, pump wiring and tank fittings should be chosen and placed with heat and ember exposure in mind, and metal beats plastic in the open. If your tank feeds toilets or the laundry, keeping its plumbing serviceable also matters for everyday reliability. We can review what you have and suggest practical upgrades rather than a rebuild.

  • The tapware the builder installed keeps failing. Is that normal?

Common, yes. Construction-era tapware and mixer cartridges were often the value line of their day, and after two decades the failures cluster: dripping mixers, seized quarter-turn taps, weeping toilet valves. Replacing them piecemeal costs more over time than doing a considered sweep. We can price both approaches and let you decide with the numbers.

  • Two storeys, three bathrooms: what hot water system actually copes?

For a household using bathrooms simultaneously, continuous flow with a decent flow rate, or a larger storage tank, both work; the right answer depends on your gas supply, the pipe runs, and whether the morning peak is showers or baths. We look at the house rather than quoting from a chart, and the price we give includes everything: unit, valves, compliance and removal of the old system.

  • Can you plumb our new outdoor kitchen and pool area?

That is bread-and-butter work in Barden Ridge. Gas bayonet for the barbecue, hot and cold to an outdoor sink, a poolside shower, fridge water line: all straightforward, and the work costs least while the area is still being built rather than after the stone goes down. Bring us the plan early and the quote will be fixed before your landscaper starts.

  • Our water pressure is strong enough to rattle the pipes. Should we worry?

Pipes that bang or shudder when taps close are telling you the static pressure is too high, and it is quietly shortening the life of hoses, valves and the hot water system. A pressure-reducing valve at the meter is a small job that protects everything downstream. We can measure your actual pressure in minutes and show you where it sits against the recommended range.
